Juliane Carter Sullivan serves as Vice President of Washington Operations for Domestic Policy and Legislative Affairs at Sierra Space.
Prior to joining Sierra Space, Juliane worked for several lobbying firms in the nation’s capital, acting as strategist and advocate for associations, coalitions, corporations and municipalities.
Juliane’s clients included large legacy defense and aerospace primes, as well as tier one suppliers and commercial space providers.
Having served as policy director to former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, Juliane spearheaded the budget and appropriations process for the Majority Leader and managed his policy team. She worked with Congressional Committees to develop legislation and drive it through the House.
Recently, Sullivan served as staff director of the House Education and the Workforce Committee. During her tenure, she helped shepherd more than 30 bills through the House. Numerous bills were negotiated with bipartisan support and signed into law, including the Multi-Employer Pension Reform Act (MEPRA), the Bipartisan Student Loan Certainty Act, and the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) – the rewrite of the “No Child Left Behind” education law.
In recognition of her Congressional advocacy for NASA, Juliane has been awarded the NASA Exceptional Service Medal.
